Asian Heritage Street Celebration
Sharing our Heritage
Bringing together the nation’s largest gathering of Asian Pacific Americans, the Asian Heritage Street Celebration is the most diverse and dynamic showcase of Asian American contemporary and traditional culture, featuring all ethnicities and nationalities. You can help with a donation today that will help pay for city permits, stage and sound equipment rentals, performer stipends, clean up crews and cover other necessary costs.
SF Hep B Free
Improving community health
This program leads the way in efforts to end liver cancer caused by hepatitis B disease. Hep B infection is the greatest health disparity for Asian/Pacific Islanders, infecting as many as 1 in 12. It is also the world’s greatest cause of liver cancer. Please help us end almost all liver cancers in our community by spreading the message of testing, vaccination and treatment to prevent liver cancer. Your donation covers testing and vaccination services, as well as medical interpretation services, outreach and education.
Green Initiative for Asian Families
Preserving resources for our families
GIAF is a network of Asian and Pacific Islander community based organizations and service providers committed to developing a culturally proficient and inclusive approach to increasing sustainable practices. Our projects in the Asian/Pacific Islander community preserve the environment and the earth’s precious natural resources. Your donation helps pay for community garden supplies, recycling bins, translation services for multiple languages, and outreach and organizing efforts.
Educating our youth
Every year, we raise funds for local schools through our annual raffle program with over 20 schools participating, and our School Awards Reception Ceremony is the only program of its kind to honor top Asian American and other Bay Area educators for their work preparing our youth. Please help us increase excellence in education for our children. Your donation today will help cover award plaques, stipends to our educators, printing raffle tickets, and event costs such as food and preparation.
News and issues about our community
AsianWeek.com is the longest running news source for the Asian American community. Please help us continue covering the news and events from our growing and dynamic community, including Asian American politics, entertainment, local and national news. Your donation pays for server and computer upkeep, freelance writers and editing, and webmaster services.
Working with community groups
AsianWeek Foundation partners with hundreds of community groups that work with Asian Pacific Islander Americans. We help provide resources and consulting in areas as diverse as media outreach, fundraising, advocacy, organizing and capacity building. Please help us encourage volunteerism, support sustainability, engage community leaders, strengthen schools, improve the health of our community and share our heritage. Your donation covers transportation, presentation supplies, consulting preparation, and other incidental costs.
